Ben worked for Carly, and like her was an orphan who was unwillingly drafted into LOA as a teen. The strongest of the group, his strength came with a setback, a rage barely controlled by medication.

the series so far
Ben relished his LOA strengths, but was repulsed by the rage that came with it. He found his humanity in his colleague Marissa, who he had a romantic relationship with. She took his place on a mission to be purposely taken into CIA custody. When Carly broke into CIA headquarters, all he cared about was getting Marissa back. Jen, who he'd brutally beaten a few months earlier, had a gun to his head, but let him and Marisa escape. He did not get far as he was taken into custody by Harriett Richardson and her team. He then spent months in CIA custody, being visited occasionally by Jen, who saw the visits as cathartic. Ben became obsessed with her. According to Percy Jones, he admitted to having sexual fantasies about her. Their visits ended when he was shipped off to Guantanamo Bay. But Clive Johnson soon freed him. Clive gave him the option to walk away and live a normal life, but Ben chose instead to work for Clive. He grew to regret the decision, especially after kidnapping Dylan Stone. The two bonded, and when Dylan revealed Clive planned to kill him, Ben seemed to look forward to it. He contacted Jen with information on the bank robbery and helped IIA get Dylan back.

where is he now?
Despite Jen's best efforts to get him to turn himself back in to custody, he committed suicide by shooting himself in the head, as he could not face another day in a cell.
